Get connected
You're probably at this page as we've advised you to use our Connect Service.
This service lets us use your computer remotely, with your permission, as if we're sitting at it. We use this when we think your computer problems can be fixed without having to visit your home.
Please do not try to use this service unless you have already requested our assistance and we have have advised you to use it.
How to use this service
Firstly click the button below to download the light-weight executable program. It is easiest to choose to "Open" or "Run this program from its current location" when your web browser prompts you to download the file.
Once the file has been downloaded, it will need to be executed. Depending on the option you chose, the file may have been run automatically. If not, you will need to find the file in the location you downloaded it to (check your Desktop) and then manually run it by double-clicking on the 'W' icon, as shown below:

Launching the tool should present you with a connection window, from which you can make a direct connection to Wentworth IT. This window is shown in the screenshot below.

As shown in the screenshot above, there are two possible ways to connect to Wentworth IT. These are with or without encryption. We recommend that you always choose the option that utilises encryption so that your privacy can be ensured. Only use the without encryption option if you have been told to do so by Wentworth IT.
The Connect to Wentworth IT with encryption option should be double-clicked so that the connection process can be started.

At this point you should see a balloon message box appear at the bottom-right of your screen, as shown below.

Depending on your connection speed, the above message may appear for a few moments while a connection with Wentworth IT is established. Once the connection process has completed, you will be notified by a new balloon message box as shown below.

After seeing the above message, you will be connected with a Wentworth IT representative who will be able to control your system remotely. You will be able to see everything we do, while we're doing it.

The yellow 'W' icon in the system tray will turn green (as shown above) to represent an established connection.
This green icon can be right-clicked at any time, and the 'Close' option (highlighted below) can be used to break the connection. You are free to do this at any time if you wish to break the connection between yourself and Wentworth IT.

If we can fix your computer problems remotely, we will terminate the connection from our end. The Connect Service Tool will completely remove itself from your system once you've finished with it.
